Prosthetic Dentistry

Restorative dentistry is separated in fixed prosthodontics and mobile prosthetics .
The fixed prosthodontics is the process by means of which we restore in the mouth any loss resulting from extraction of one or more teeth.

When one or more teeth are lost several problems are created:

  • Bone Loss
  • Outgrowth of the antagonist tooth
  • Shifting and deviation of adjacent teeth
  • Difficulty in chewing
  • Difficulty in cleaning the area
  • Possible pain in the temporomandibular joint
  • Difficulty in articulation of speech if it is anterior teeth
  • Aesthetic problems
